Do you know the feeling when you have good intentions to cook a healthy nutritious breakfast however the reality is that there is not enough time for preparations or just lack of ideas? What about an easy smoothie with chia seeds that gives you much needed protein, omega-3 and minerals like magnesium to keep you going for many hours?
Since I discovered chia seeds and macca powder I use them as my ‘basic’ ingredients and mix them with fruits and nuts. There is an example of a quick smoothie (just blend all ingredients together) :
2 teaspoons of chia seeds – soak for a half an hour before
2 bananas
1 avocado
A handful of cashew nuts or any other ‘soft’ nuts such as pecan nuts
A table spoon of raw coconut oil or alternatively 2 spoons of desiccated coconut
1 teaspoon of macca powder
and if you fancy a more chocolaty flavour add:
1 table spoon of raw chocolate powder
or if you prefer fruity flavour
A handful of berries of you choice
If you wanted sweeter add agave syrop or honey
